لا يخفى على أحد أهمية فيسبوك بالنسبة للسوريين, فهو الفضاء الموازي للفضاء الحقيقي الذي يعيشون فيه, سواء كانوا داخل سوريا أو خارجها. لقد أصاب من قال ذات مرة أن السوريين يعيشون ويموتون ويتواصلون ويحبون ويكرهون ويتفقون ويختلفون في فيسبوك. لقد أسدى فيسبوك خدمات عظيمة للسوريين بخلق هذا الفضاء الشاسع الحر, لكنه كان أحيانا نقمة أيضا.
في النصف الثاني من عام 2013, بدأت سياسة فيسبوك تجاه صفحات الثورة والمعارضة السورية بالتغير بشكل ملحوظ. لم يعد فيسبوك يتغاضى عن المخالفات الكثيرة لمعايير المجتمع وقواعد الاستخدام, وبدا أن الشركة التي كانت تفاخر بأن الربيع العربي قد تفجر على صفحات منصتها, قد بدأت تضيق ذرعا بنا نحن السوريين, وبدأت الصفحات بالتساقط واحدة تلو الأخرى, وخلال فترة لم تتجاوز الشهر استطعت وضع قائمة بالتعاون مع عدد من الناشطين ضمت عشرات من الصفحات التي أغلقت خلال شهري تشرين الثاني وكانون الأول من العام 2013 فقط. كان جواب إدارة فيسبوك بأن هذه الصفحات قد تجاوزت القوانين مرارا وأن تكرار هذه المخالفات يفضي إلى إغلاق الصفحات.
بتاريخ الرابع من شباط 2014, ظهر مقال في صحيفة الأنتلانتك الأمريكية “صفحات المعارضة السورية تختفي من فيسبوك”. استعرض المقال عدد من الحالات ونقل آراء بعض الناشطين السوريين حول الموضوع وتضمن تفسيرا من قبل الشركة حول الظاهرة الجديدة. يُعتقد أن المقال ترك أثرا ما لدى الشركة, وربما أنه دفعها للتمعن بآلية التعاطي مع حملات التبليغ. لا شك أن الموضوع السوري هو جزء يسير مما على فيسبوك التعاطي معه, فعدد مستخدمي الشبكة يبلغ أكثر من مليار ونيف من الناس, ويبلغ عدد الصفحات العامة عليه أكثر من خمسين مليونا, وعلى فيسبوك التعامل مع كل النواحي الأمنية والقانونية والبلاغات والمخالفات وحالات الاختراق التي تصل إليه, وهي كثيرة جدا.
كان هناك تحول آخر أعتقد أنه جعل فيسبوك يفكر مليا بموقفه من الصفحات السورية المعارضة. ففي شهر حزيران شن ناشطون أوربيون حملة على فيسبوك بعد أن تبين أن نظام الأسد قد استخدم إعلانات فيسبوك من خلال طرف ثالث خارج سوريا للترويج لحملة بشار الأسد الانتخابية. طالب الناشطون فيسبوك بالتبرع بهذه الأموال التي لم تعرف قيمتها لصالح الأطفال السوريين, وقد نظمت “الحملة السورية” مظاهرة أمام مبنى فيسبوك في العاصمة البريطانية لندن كانت غاية في الإبداع حيث دعا القائمون عليها الناس للإعلان للقتلة والمجرمين والسفاحين على فيسبوك أسوة بالأسد. لقيت هذه الجملة تغطية واسعة في الصحافة الغربية ولفتت النظر إلى أن فيسبوك يتقاضى المال من أحد أخطر طغاة القرن.
في المقابل لم ييأس الناشطون السوريون العاملون في مجال أمن المعلومات والحماية الرقمية من مواصلة نضالهم لإيصال المظلمة إلى فيسبوك, وتضافرت الجهود للضغط على الشركة لإبداء مرونة أكثر في تفهم خصوصية الوضع السوري, وبأن السوريين لم يعودوا قادرين على نشر أخبار مفرحة حول رحلاتهم إلى الشواطئ أو نزهاتهم في الجبال, وأن جل حياتهم تتمحور حول الحرب, والثورة والاقتتال والمعتقلين والمخطوفين واللذين يعذبون في السجون حتى الموت.
بعد هذه السلسلة من الأحداث يبدو أن إدارة شركة فيسبوك قد أصبحت أكثر تفهما لواقع السوريين وكيف يستخدمون فيسبوك, وأنها غدت أكثر مرونة في التعاطي مع طلبات الاستئناف التي ترد إليها حول إغلاق الصفحات. لا يعني هذا أن القوانين قد تغيرت, ولا يعني أبدا الاستهتار, بل علينا أن نعي أن الأخطار المحيقة بصفحاتنا التي تضم جزء هام تاريخ الثورة لازالت قائمة.
