’’يمتد الشاطئ السوري على طول 180 كم من رأس البسيط حتى طرطوس يشتهر بالطبيعة الجميلة حيث تتناثر قرى الاصطياف ذات المناظر الخلابة والهواء النقي والغابات والجبال المغطاة بالخضرة والينابيع وجداول المياه والانهار والبحيرات الطبيعة والاصطناعية التي شكلت خلف عدد من السدود. ويضم مواقع سياحية وأثرية كقلعة صلاح الدين وعمريت وأماكن اصطياف عديدة مثل أم الطيور مشقيتا كسب، حيث أقيمت فيها عشرات المنتجعات والفنادق مختلفة المستويات والمطاعم المتنوعة وأماكن التنزه والملاهي والمقاهي.،،
الاقتباس السابق هو واحد من ثلاثة فقرات بسيطة تصدرت موقع وزارة السياحة السورية التي يترأسها بشر رياض يازجي مهندس الحواسيب المتخرج من جامعة حلب عام 1994، وقد أطلقت وزارة السياحة مؤخراً فيديو بعنوان “سوريا بتضل الأحلى”.
فيما يبدوا أن وزارة السياحة اكتشفت مؤخراً وجود اختراع يقوم بالتصوير من الجو، لتستخدمه في اول فيديو دعائي لها، حيث يظهر الفيديو مشاهد من الساحل السوري لم يظهر فيها من غير البحر سوى بضعة أمتار من شاطئ منطقة التصوير، وقد أثار الفيديو السخرية وفتح باب المقارنة ما بين المشاهد التي تعرضها وزارة السياحة مع تلك المشاهد التي تتصدر وسائل الاعلام العالمية حول ما يجري في سوريا.
وقد تناولت صحيفة وول ستريت الأمريكية دعاية وزارة السياحة في تقرير لها تقول فيه، أن وسط الحرب الأهلية التي دامت خمس سنوات في سوريا، يسعى نظام بشار الأسد لتغيير صورة البلاد من خلال حملة العلاقات العامة. مشيرة إلى فيديو وزارة السياحة السورية.
وأشار تقرير وول ستريت أنه في العودة إلى عام 2010 سجلت سوريا عدد 8.5 مليون زائر وسائح، إلا أنها بعد خمسة أعوام باتت البلد مدمرة.
كما قد تناول الإعلامي اللبناني نديم قطيش نفس المشهد في حلقته الجديدة من برنامج DNA الساخر على قناة تلفزيون المستقبل بعنوان “الأسد يفتتح الموسم السياحي”، ساخراً من اصدار الفيديو في آخر شهر العطلات العالمية آب/أغسطس وبداية موسم المدارس، ليختتم حلقته بعد استعراض ساخر تنقل ما بين تصريحات وزارة السياحة والواقع مع مشاهد من تحليلات الإعلام السوري حول تخاريف لرسم الخارطة السياسة من قبل تشرشل أثناء سكره، ليتساءل’’ شو كان شربان وزير السياحة وقت قرر يعمل الإعلان،،
